Statutory guidance on careers

NEW: The DfE have published updated statutory guidance for schools, and guidance for further education colleges, sixth form colleges and  ITPs.

The updated Gatsby Benchmarks are expected to be implemented from September 2025 and guidance supports the Government’s ambition to introduce a guarantee of two weeks’ worth of work experience for every young person.

The ASK programme

The ASK Programme contract will run until the end of the summer term in 2025. Please contact your ASK provider or the ASK enquiry form to book activities or ask any questions about the programme.

From 1 August 2025, the Department for Education will no longer fund the ASK programme. Schools and colleges can contact their local Careers Hub and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network for support.
