Statutory guidance on careers

In May 2025 DfE published updated statutory guidance for schools, and guidance for further education colleges, sixth form colleges and ITPs.

The guidance supported the updated Gatsby Benchmarks going live in September 2025 and supports the Government's ambition to introduce a guarantee of two weeks’ worth of work experience for every young person.

Careers Impact System

The Careers Impact System is a process that drives continuous improvement in the quality of careers education in schools and colleges.

It’s a systematic approach to raising standards, provides confidence in and an assurance of quality to the education policy community and is directly linked to wider school improvement.
